Schantz Calls Shale Gas 'Game Changer' in Industry

 Natural gas was a featured topic on Bloomberg news, and Sequent Energy Management President Doug Schantz provided his perspective on a range of subjects including: natural gas pricing, the need for “weather” to draw down stored inventories, future demand for storage, the role of natural gas as a complement to wind and solar, and the company’s position as an asset manager.
 
Noting that “our business is growing 10 percent per year,” Schantz called the present a “very dynamic time and exciting time to be in the natural gas space.”
 
Looking at the big picture, Schantz described the development of technologies to extract natural gas from shale a “game changer” that will add “another 50 years of production at very economic rates.”
