In addition to education, children need support in many other areas of life. Some children struggle bravely everyday with health problems. Through the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation Walk to cure Diabetes, our employees go the extra mile to support these children and help find the cure.

Sequent walks to find a cure for juvenile diabetes
More than 30 walkers representing Sequent Energy Management participated in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk to Cure Diabetes in Houston, walking 3.1 miles and raising more than $12,000.

Juvenile Diabetes has long been a favorite cause for Sequent volunteers. Ethan, the son of Marshall Lang, vice president, Origination, has inspired the Sequent team ever since he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes a few years ago.

"I was overwhelmed by the number of the participants this year -- more than we have ever had!" says Team Captain Julie Clyatt, analyst, Human Resources. "It was great seeing all these folks come out on a brisk Saturday morning to support Marshall, his family and a great cause!"
