Director, Regulatory Market Analysis

Richard A. Siegel joined Sequent Energy Management as director of regulatory markets analysis in July 2006.  Siegel is responsible for all aspects of regulatory analysis at the federal and state levels.  He also coordinates all filings made with the respective regulatory agencies and commissions in support of Sequent’s gas trading, asset management and gas origination business.

Siegel came to Sequent from Duke Energy where he served as director of gas regulatory affairs for Duke Energy North America.  Siegel spent five years there in positions within regulatory affairs.

Prior to Duke Energy, Siegel spent thirteen years in regulatory and business planning functions with Kinder-Morgan, Inc.  Prior to his tenure at Kinder-Morgan, Siegel spent eight years with Tennessee Gas Pipeline in the rates, regulatory and transportation departments.

Siegel is a graduate of Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Siegel resides in west Houston with his wife and son.
