Marshall Lang

Senior Vice President of Marketing

Marshall Lang brings 30 years of diversified experience spanning both regulated and non-regulated areas of the energy industry to his role as senior vice president of Marketing for Sequent Energy Management. During his career, Mr. Lang has held a number of start-up and key leadership positions.

Mr. Lang joined Sequent in 2002 and relocated to Houston in late 2007. He leads Sequent’s Origination, Generation Services and Producer Services teams and also oversees Compass Energy, AGL Resources’ commercial and industrial retail marketer.

Mr. Lang began his natural gas career at Columbia Gas Transmission (now part of NiSource Pipelines). During his years with Columbia Gas Transmission and later with Columbia Energy, he led a number of business units, primarily in sales, marketing and customer service at the pipeline. He also held marketing and sales positions during his career with Coastal Gas Marketing Corp. in Newport News, Va.

Mr. Lang serves on the board of directors of the Houston Gulf Coast Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which named him honored as “Director of the Year” in 2011. He is also a member of the board of the University of Houston’s Global Energy Management Institute.

Mr. Lang earned his business degree from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, and resides in Houston with his wife and sons.
