Greg Schockling

Vice President, Financial Trading

Greg Schockling, vice president of financial trading, joined the Sequent Energy Management team in 2002. He began his career with Sequent as director of marketing and transportation, handling financial trading much the same as he does now. 

Prior to joining Sequent, Schockling was senior director of trading for the Gulf coast region with Columbia Energy Services. Bridgeline Gas Marketing purchased Columbia, promoting Schockling to vice president of trading. 

Schockling began his career in natural gas when he moved to Houston in the early 80’s to take a position with Tenneco Oil Company. He then went to Tenngasco, (a Tenneco company), one of the first Marketing companies to trade in deregulated natural gas from 1983-1989. 
 
Schockling also worked at Superior Natural gas as director of marketing, before moving onto Western Gas Resources as director of marketing in the early 90’s.
  
Schockling graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvannia in 1981 with an accounting degree. He lives in Houston with his wife Judy, and their two daughters, ages 13 and 16.  He enjoys golfing and traveling in his spare time. Schockling’s home town is Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.
