Greg Schockling

Vice President, Trading and Financial Marketing


Greg Schockling was named vice president, Trading and Financial Marketing, in 2006 He is responsible for all managing the financial positions around Sequent’s storage activity and asset management business. 
 
Mr. Schockling joined the Sequent Energy Management team in 2002 as director of Marketing and Transportation, handling financial trading. He was promoted to vice president, Financial Trading, in 2006.
 
Prior to joining Sequent, Mr. Schockling was senior director of trading for the Gulf Coast region at Columbia Energy Services. When Bridgeline Gas Marketing purchased Columbia, Mr. Schockling was promoted to vice president of trading.
 
Mr. Schockling began his career in natural gas when he moved to Houston in the early 1980s to take a position with Tenneco Oil Company. From 1983-1989, he was with Tenngasco, a  Tenneco company that was one of the first marketing companies to trade in deregulated natural gas. 
 
Mr. Schockling also worked at Superior Natural Gas as director of marketing before moving onto Western Gas Resources as director of marketing in the early 1990s.
  
A native of Pennsylvania, he graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with an accounting degree.
 
He and his family live in Sugar Land, and he enjoys golfing and traveling in his spare time. He is also on the Board of Directors of St. Agnes Academy in Houston, and Treasurer of the St. Laurence chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
